There are many reasons why you may need to change your WIP coverage. This article covers when and how to make changes from your current WIP to a lower or higher plan (unless you are on the Full Coverage WIP).

Do you have more more than one Web Property in your WIPA? If you have more than one Web Address (domain) under the same WIP Account, you must select the account you want to make changes to.



How to upgrade

Step 1: First make sure you are logged in at mywips.com

Step 2: Next click on plans.

Step 3: Finally, click the plan you want to upgrade to. You will be charged right away! You will get a prorated charge and you will receive a prorated amount of data.


For example, if you sign up for the $20/ month, 2GB plan and you have already passed 15 days out of your 30 day billing cycle, you will be charged $10 and you will get just 1GB. When your 30 day billing cycle is completely over, you will be charged the full $20 and you will get the full 2GBs of data.

How to downgrade


Step 1: To downgrade to the free plan, first make sure you are logged in at my.freedompop.com. Click here to go there now and log in. This page will stay open in a different website tab.

Step 2: Visit my.freedompop.com/plans.

Step 3: Finally, click on “To downgrade, click here”.


Why do I get an error message when I try to downgrade?

Please Note: If you get an error message when you try to downgrade, this is most likely because your billing cycle renewal day has already passed and we have already tried to charge you for your plan.

If that charge failed, your service is suspended and you cannot make changes to your plan when your account is suspended. Please update your credit card and let the suspended charge go through.

FAQs


Q: Will my WIPA (WIP Account) be Pro-rated?

A: No, your account will not be pro-rated because the change cannot take place in mid premium cycle. — from monthly to yearly, from Plus to Pro, etc. It all depends on your current usage.


Q: Can I downgrade my WIP Coverage?

A: Depends. you can downgrade to a lesser-WIP Coverage only if you are not on already on the Basic WIP. but you can  nor move from an annual subscription to a monthly subscription while your current subscription is still active.

Q: Can I cancel my upgrade within 2 weeks of purchase, like when I first bought OptinMonster?

A: No. If you upgrade from Basic to Pro within the first 2 weeks of your initial basic purchase, then decide that even Pro doesn’t suit your needs, you can request a refund. However, if you have been a Plus customer for three weeks, then you decide to upgrade to Pro, you will not be eligible for a refund.
