Cancellation Instructions


To cancel any of our GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs services and to keep your business with us in "Good Standing", we require that you submit your cancellation request in writing. We've made cancelling our services simple for you to do. Just copy the following text, open up a new ticket, and paste the text in the "comment" field.


In the "Subject" field, enter "Cancel (the type of service you are cancelling) and the date you are requesting the cancellation to take effect.


Choose the service you are cancelling from the dropdown menu.


Finally, copy and submit the following text. Replace the words in (green) with your information.


I/We are requesting to cancel (ex. Web Hosting services) beginning on April 1st, 2019

The reason I am cancelling is because...(this is totally optional if you wish to share with us why you are cancelling our services).   






If you are upgrading accounts, please make sure that the upgrade is fully completed and all files have been moved to your new account before submitting your form. Once we cancel your account, you will not be able to retrieve your files. Remember to have a backup of your Web Property too, just in case. 


What happens after I submit the cancellation request?


You will receive an email immediately confirming we have your request. If you do not get this email back within 1 hour, we did not receive your cancellation request and you will be held responsible for any charges as a result. If you did not receive the confirmation email after 1 hour, resend it to us and enter "2nd email" in the subject line.


Once you know we have your request, please allow us 72 hours to verify your identity and close your account. Your account will remain active until you receive our follow-up email confirming you were cancelled successfully.


When will my cancellation be effective?


Unless you tell us otherwise, your account will be cancelled on the next renewal date, and you will continue to have access to your account until that time. For example, if your next renewal date is in 2 weeks, and you tell us you want to cancel, then your account will stay open for those 2 weeks, then cancel on the renewal date. If you want the cancellation to be effective on any date other than the next renewal date, please let us know when we contact you to confirm your cancellation so we can cancel the account according to your instructions.
